How much web space is enough for my web site?
The average small business web site is only about 3-5 MB in size. 50 MB should be plenty for any small business. Should you need more web space, we can upgrade your account or create a custom hosting plan to meet your needs.
Example: The IMCWorks.com web site with 9 pages of HTML and 26 custom graphics is only 2 MB.

What is bandwidth?
Bandwidth or data transfer is the amount of data that is tranfered from the web server your site is hosted on to your visitors' computers.

How much bandwidth is enough for my web site?
How much bandwidth you need depends on the type of web site you have. A web page with a lot of graphics and a small amount of text would require more bandwidth than a page that has a lot of text but few graphics. It also depends greatly upon the amount of visitors you have to your web site.
Example: If the average web page on a given site with text and graphics is about 50KB and has 5 different pages, a single visitor accessing every page once would use approximately 250 KB. For each GB allowed, there could be approximately 4,000 visitors per month.
page size 40KB X 5 pages = 200KB or 5,000 visitors per GB per month
page size 60KB X 5 pages = 300KB or 3,300 visitors per GB per month
page size 80KB X 5 pages = 400KB or 2,500 visitors per GB per month

Can I access my site with or without the 'www'?
You can access your site with and without the 'www'. For example you can access your site at yourdomainname.com or www.yourdomainname.com.

How many domains can I host under my account?
Each hosting plan is different. On the 'Lite' plan, you can have 2 addon domains in addition to your primary domain. The 'Basic' plan has 4 and the 'Pro' plan has 10. An addon domain can point to any directory or file that is saved on your web server.
In addition to addon domains, each account has parked domains. The 'Lite' plan has 2, 'Basic' has 4, and 'Pro' has 10. A parked domain is 'pointed' to your primary domain and accesses the same file. If www.yourdomainname.com accesses the index.htm file, www.yourparkeddomain.com will access the same index.htm file.

Can I resell my web hosting to other people?
IMCWorks.com does not allow subleasing www.yourdomainname.com/client or free web space given to other clients. Our web plans are for single users only.
